Umbrella Company Mayonaise Fuzz

 A japanese boutique Big Muff variant with some bell and whistles. The 1979 switch adds a different stexture and aggression to the distortion. Doping switch is basically and Mid/Scoop tonestack switch. And the Mode switch (which is an internal DIP switch in stock units) toggles between two values for both clipping caps which adds some bass i one postirion. The 33k and 24k series resistors are replaced by one 56k resistor due to lack of space on the board.

Creepy Fingers Regulus 8 Fuzz

 Long time, no see. No layouts in December so far for numerous reasons. For the most part, things have been crazy busy over here, mostly with fun stuff. And I needed a small break from pedal building in general... And I felt a bit resenment that Google and/or Firefox that can't fix the bug that block me from comment on my own blog (I still can't)... So I just needed to drop the rock for a while. 

Good thing is there have been lots of interesting schematics floating up lately so there is a few layouts to come the nextcoming days. First up, Creepy Fingers take on OS Mutantes/Regulug VIII Fuzz. It has some interesing tweaks and mods compared to the original. It has some oddball silicon transistors which doesn't give a match with the common types via an equivalent search so sockets is your friend here, I suppose.

Electro Harmonix The Worm / Madbean Charlatan

 A vintage big box The Worm with some useful improvemnts and mods by Madbean. The power section have been reworked by a voltage doubler and a voltage regulator for 9v to 15v operation. An internal volume trimpot is added. And the unknown original vactrols is replaced by a trio of LDR/LED pair.

Sovtek MIG 100H

 Another generous contribution by Sebastian, this time a Sovtek MIG 100H amp emulator!

The Acorn MIGFET post inspired me to whip up this layout for a version of the MiG 100H, which is more like a hot-rodded JCM800 than the pseudo-Plexi MiG 50. An interesting variation in its own right.

I've not built this myself yet, since I'm out of 100k trimmers and A1M pots, so due diligence is encouraged. I've attached the amp schematic for scrutiny. The layout follows the circuit pretty much 1-to-1 until the phase inverter. One half of the phase inverter is used, then the output stage is pilfered from the Menatone Foxy Brown (I've found it great in various AIAB builds, so it should do the trick here too). The master volume is moved to the end of the circuit.

Like the JCM800, the MiG 100H has two channels with separate inputs, the lower-gain of which skips the first stage of the preamp. This layout has a footswitch to toggle between the two channels for (hopefully) added utility.
