I think that you can tag this one. The layout is 20x20 with 26 cuts. It's super hairy and hellishly loud but sounds cool. I don't know how to bias this one. The trimmers don't give you a lot of play with the voltage but they all behave the same way. The Bass control is not as dramatic as the Treble and Mids but everything seems to work as it should. Thanks Anders and Chris.
Sovtek pre? kool beanz. Maybe I'll spend the American holiday building something Soviet.

ReplyDeleteAwesome news, Tom!!! And hellishly loud sounds like I need to build one, too!!!
DeleteBiasing is a bit unconventional. And It seems dirtier than the demo that I found. Be sure to report your results and opinions if you do build.

DeleteInfo about biasing. I set mine around 12v to get some extra dirt
Oh wow, my search turned up nothing. Thanks J. Good lookin' out.
DeleteBuilt this and sounds awesome. More gain than expected. Incredibly loud. I used an A50k for the Master to tame it a bit. May need an A100k pot.
