Sprinklesounds Mot(not)onous

Here is a contribution from Jordan Fontaine, a modified Mid-Fi Clarinot)

Modded Midfi Clari(not)

This was a fun project to delve into. I certainly didn’t stay true to the short delay, tape warble aesthetic. The delay still does that sound but now it can run wild too. Very versatile now for rockabilly, dub, shoegaze etc.

Delay time is extended and feedback added to extend beyond a single repeat.

The trimmer sets the threshold for runaway repeats to taste.

I borrowed the blend for Midfi’s Pitch Pirate so there are more sounds available here.

If you have runaway repeats happening and dial the blend close to dry it almost sounds like a scratchy record under your playing.

The fuzz control from the original has been removed to add to the ‘clean’ sound of the pedal. Although the longer repeats will add noise and clip as well.

Where the crazy comes in is the external mounted LDR. The second footswitch engages the LDR and affects the Delay control as you interfere with the light in front of it. The Offset control allows for the light to make dramatic or subtle changes to the time. This is easily omitted if you're not interested in it.

EarthQuaker Devices Rainbow Machine

Chris "SPIN Doctor" Stelloh did it again! Amazing work with this box of fairy dust and chaos. The layout is verified and good to go!

...and here is a layout with "Stelloh mods".

Bluff Chill Devices Shagpile V1

Here is a very interesting and not overly complicated PT2399 based circuit from Bluff Chill Devices. It is an "envelope modulated delay" which sort of emulates a worn out tape delay.

This layout is for V1 only but there is two layouts; one for stock 2 knob version and one modified 4 knob version. See details for the latter further down of this post

First up the schematic and a writeup about possible mods at the Bluff Chill blog.

And the modified version with added Mix and Realese controls. Note that pot values and lug connections isn't mentioned in the blog post so some tweaking is necessary to get satisfying results. I added the values that "should" work...

*Edit* Jordan verified the modified layout bellow and tested pot values and tapers.

Later versions also had a feedback control and an improved blend circuit but there is no schematic avaiable for it on the web...

Death by Audio Robot

The original had a funky power arangement which demanded an own power supply. This layout has a power supply mod with a voltage regulator so you can daisy chain it. I also added a gain pot, replacing the internal gain trimpot.
