Boss CS-3 Compressor / Madbean Oracle

 Another great contribution by Chris Stelloh!

 This is a layout drawn from the Madbean Oracle project, which is, essentially the Boss CS-3 compression sustainer. I really like the sound of VCA-driven compressors, especially on sampled drum sounds. This Boss pedal has been around for about 40 years, and the Madbean version makes a few slight modifications to it based on stuff people have done attempting to improve the sound quality and lower the noise. I included a list of part values that are most commonly swapped to make this more bass guitar friendly.

This one is verified and good to go.

Carlin Compressor/Fuzz

A old swedish compressor and fuzz with an unique discrete design that I havenä't seen haven't seen anywhere else. Raraly cloned except for Creepy Fingers that did a small run a few years ago.

This layout is modified for true bypass.

Pearl CO-04 Compressor

DOD Compressor 280

 Yet another compressor, this time an optical one. The specified vactrol is quite expensive and hard to get hold of nowadays but you can roll your own using a LDR with 1M dark resistance and green diffused LED.

It is based on MXR Dyna Comp but has some extra bits mainly for addidtional power and Vref filtering for Q1 and the OTA IC. So I had to add two extra rows but it will still fit in a 1590b box without problem.

Maestro MFZT-1 Fuzztain

 Per request. A slightly modernized take on a Moog designed Fuzz/compressor hailing back from the 70s. The signal path remains true to the original but the rotary switch has been removed in favour for a variable fuzz control. And the two compressor settings is now fed through a toggle switch. The CD4007AE IC might be hard to source but it is avaiable at Ebay.

Electro Harmonix Deluxe Big Muff - EH3054C version

 The late  EH3054C version of the vintage Deluxe Big Muff. Some improvements had to be done like true bypass and common voltage refrence.

Univox CO-105 Uni-Comp

 A quite simple old japanese compressor by Univox. For part substitutions (since stock parts is long gone obsolete...) the transistor were a low gain NPN silicon so PN2222 or 2N3903 should work. MD234 were silicon signal diodes so 1N4148s is a near enough sub. The spec of the original vactrol remains unknown so socketing a LED/LDR combo seems to be a wise decision.
