Consider the LM13700 and using the conversion board that I posted a link to above. I've used it several times with success.
The MXR is cool but it's pretty murky. The Ross restores some highs and feels much more open and the Keeley 4 knob opens it up even more. Circuit evolution.
You should add the Ross. It's the same effect but with some worthwhile modifications. I personally prefer the Ross.

Yes, Ross contains just a few extra bits, its probably doable by using this layout and add a row or two...
