noticed an error on IC2 (4093). pins 5 and 6 should be grounded, and pin 4 should be left open. everything else looks good, per the schematic.
fixed that on my build. started probing around, but for some reason i'm not getting any signal after pin 1 of IC2. should be getting something out of pin 2 or 3 (or likewise, leg 2 or 3 of the flux pot).
been over it multiple times with a DMM. compared it to the layout in photoshop. knifed between the rows. ugh, i'm 0 for 2 now this week 😖
I deleted my first comment because I realized I was just repeating most of what you had all ready said - I'm going to redraw this myself with the relocated jumpers on IC2, and also stare at the schematic for a long time until something else jumps out at me.
I made my own layout a few days ago. did it as perf instead of stripboard. same problem. got so frustrated i threw it onto a breadboard and still couldn't get it to work. not to cast aspersions on pedalpcb, but i'm thinking maybe there's an error in the schem? i don't think anyone else has traced it :/
yeah - schematic error seems the most likely culprit - I haven't tried building this yet but after multiple times going over the pedalpcb layout, it seems like that one moved ground connection on the Schmitt trigger IC should have had this working. I may order a PCB and see if I can locate any traces in it that differ from the schematic.
YES! Will make time for this one!
ReplyDeletehaving trouble with this one...

Deleteany update on the pcb? this looks sick and i'm not great at troubleshooting schematics/layouts for fixes.
