  2. Question about the offboard wiring: the layout has a link on the R for Volume 2, but the notes say 'Vol 2 to Output' - should that be Vol 3 on the R side of the board?

  3. Yeah, it looks confusing but in the notes he says that volume three connects to switch 2. So it's possible that volume 2 in fact connects the PCB, your volume pot lug two and then to your 3pdt. It does look a bit odd though.

    1. Yeah, it might be a bit confusing. Volume 2 connects to BOTH the board and Output.

  4. So, I finished up the build tonight, and it "works" - but it seems like the sustain pot is either 'on' or not. When it's all the way CCW, no sound (no matter what the volume is set at). after about 10% rotation, it kicks in - but it seems to be almost 'full on'. no (or little discernable) change in the fuzz. The pot values are good, the wiring is correct, and everything else "works" - it's just there's either no sound, or 100% muff fuzz with the sustain control changes. Any ideas?

  6. sounds great stock, but i swapped out the ua741 for a TL071 and changed the 820K resistor to a 1M, has a bit more grunt great layout!

    1. Just a suggested mod that's worth exploring - if you remove that 1.2k resistor connected to tone 3 and replace it with a 2k pot, it makes for an extremely useful mids control

    2. When you say replace it with a 2k pot, how would I do that? Where do I wire the different lugs?
