I flipped the polarity on my build and used GT404B's as you recommended and it's very heavy and fuzzy.
I tried it with the fuzz control, but found the stock 47k ressitor to work fine for me. The filter is subtle, but just enough to shape the top end a little. Thanks it's great.

Just built it with some super leaky 2sb77's and a 2sb176. This is the 1st mkI I've been happy with. Thanks!
