Hi- I tried building this and got no sound, then noticed the input on your layout isn't connected to anything, only the 1M pulldown resistor to ground.
Sorry, it seems that I uploaded an old layout:-/. The correct layout is now uploded. It is an really easy fix. Move both legs of the 10k resistor one row down. (The one between Q1 and Q2, left to the link). Then you'll have connection between input and and input cap connecting to the base of Q1.
