Electro Harmonix Doctor Q - Vintage

Layout based on the old version from the 70s. Note that this one is really picky about op amp selection so be prepared for some socketing...

Monkee Music Satan Distortion

I admit that I did a layout for this soleily based on the name...😏

This is one those really cheap 80s distortions that sounds harsh, compressed and trebly. But it might be worth modding towards something decent? The clippers can be subbed for LEDs for some headroom, both 47pF caps can be inreased to shave off some high end. Also the Tone control and the 10nF cap next to it can be adjusted.Oh, and don't forget to use an expensive Burr Brown IC for the op amp...

Schematic is avaiable HERE.

F'Deck / Broughton Hybrid HPF

Another guest appearance by Sebastian who generously shares his interesting designs!

Here is a snippet of his description for it:

...hybrid of the F'Deck (series 3) and the Broughton high-pass filters. I wanted the steeper slope of the F'Deck (24db/octave below 35Hz) with the gain boost of the Broughton—so, here it is!

Fuzzhead Fx Barbarian Fuzz

I dug out my breadboard to clear some thoughts and played around a bit. Well, I ended up with one of my top 3 fuzz circuits, Roland Double Beat. It is perfect as is, just added some minor filtering here and there. But the stock Double Beat rotary switch tonestack sucked IMO so I just tacked on the tonestack from Apocalypse Audio H Fuzz which very versitale and simple. Now this is a angry doom machine.

Got no name for it but listened to some Electric Wizard tune Barbarian the other day so...let's call it Barabarian Fuzz, ok?

ATM, the MOJO layout is verified but not the small one.

PedalPCB Mojito Overdrive Deluxe

Chuck D. Bones take on one of Björn Juhl's designs, a hot rodded Honey Bee. Lots of tweaks all over the place so it probably differ quite a bit compared to the original circuit. I subbed the hard to source clipping diodes for NPN transistors to match the voltage drop and knee. Regular 1N4148s will work but they have a slightly lower voltage drop.

Schematic is avaiable HERE.

PedalPCB CMOS Overdrive

Another very interesing by Chuck D. Bones over at the PedalPCB forum. The inspiration comes from some of Catalinbreads overdrive and fuzz designs but adds a lot of refinement amd tweakability..

Schematic is avaiable HERE.

Roger Mayer Voodoo Axe

 Schematic is avaiable HERE.

Moonn Electronics Bullshit Distortion

Nils from Moonn Electronics took a stab on the Big Muff and twisted the knife... Looks pretty cool. MOSFET and regular silicon transistors, blue LED clippers and a wild tonestack. Schematic and BOM can be found HERE.

Foxx Wah Inductorless

Foxx sold a couple of wah variants in the early 70s, often combined with a Foxx Tone Machine circuit. There was an inductorless version and a Cry Baby variant with a 4 posistion "Wah Tone" selector switch. This layout is for the inductorless version. HERE is the schematic.

Orange Vintage Reissue Distortion

Modified for true bypass and bias trimpots.

Schematic is avaiable HERE.

Black Arts Toneworks Destroyer

Ok, let's continue on the Black Arts theme. Destroyer is essentially a Ritual that slams an Oath. The layout is a bit wider than usual since it is intended for a BB enclosure with two footswitches.

Black Arts Toneworks Oath

Here is one for lovers of pedals with no controls... But you can easily move the onboard volume trimpot for an external control. Circuitwise, it is basically a Black Arts Revelation Super Bass with Pre Gain and Gain controls maxed out and the volume control is moved into the inside.

Blue Colander GT420 Overdrive/Distortion Mk.1

Schematic and and description is avaiable HERE.

Made the Tone Bypass and Dark mode switching external.

Creepy Fingers Lonely Heart Fuzz

Finally a new trace on a Creepy Fingers pedal! It is quite a heavily modified take on the  the fuzz circuit found in the Vox UL730 and 7120 amplifiers. These were used by The Beatles during the recording of Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Schematic is avaiable HERE.
