Devi Ever Ruby

 Found some Devi Ever circuits in a folder that I had forgotten so I guess there will be a small Devi Ever blowout the nextcoming days...

First out is Ruby, a loud and quite tight fuzz which basically is two cascaded Electra distortions (sans diode clippers). It is definitely worth socketing transistors for this one to try out germaniums or darlingtons...

If more low end is desired, you can increase both of the 10nF caps.

3 Verb

 Per a request from Ian. A fairly simple reverb sold as a kit from Musikding in Germany with an adjustable Dwell control across the pins of a Belton 3H brick.

EarthQuaker Devices Hummingbird V2

 Based on the more recent version of Hummingbird using the more common 2N6027 programmable unijunction transistor. Schematic is avaiable HERE.

Electro Harmonix Freedom Preamp Pedal

 Here we have a rare bird from the early-mid 70s. A tweaked version of the the circuit found in Freedam Preamp amp found its way into some Big Muff enclosures. Original is very pricey and rare. 

The original ran on two 9v batteries for bipolar power supply for the op amp section but I added a bipolar voltage converter so you can use with your normal power supply. A Master control is added at the end of the circuit so you can crank the volume control to achieve overdrive at reasonable levels.  Also, the trimpots value remains unknown but I would shot for 10k...

 Another old request. An old old forgotten madbean circuit which is based on the preamp section of Dr Z Carmen Ghia.

 

DOD FX33 Buzz Box

 This one have been requested a few times. Factory schematic had a few bugs (as with most DODs) so this layout is based on the schematic by Griffin Fx for their Buzz King project.

 

Black Effects Pedals Dry Line Driver

 Another great tracing (and de gooping) work by Tobias. This one is supoosed to be a heavier version of a Colorsound Overdriver with an added "Contour" diode control for more fuzz on tap.

Wyllie Moonrock

 One of the more innovative fuzz designs out there. This is a quite a crazy octave up fuzz in the vein of Octavia and Scrambler with the Offset control dialed up. Roll it back for less octave and a pronounced swell effect.

Black Effects Pedals Fuzzawe

 Another trace by Tobias. This one is based on ROG Whisker Biscuit but with larger input, coupling and Miller caps. Also, the tonestack has been modified for a wider range.

Black Effect Pedals Lava Machine

 Tobias from the band Green Orbit have traced a few pedals from a now obsolete producer called Black Effect Pedals. They were producing mostly fuzzes on the heavier end of the scale, suited for doom and stoner toanz.

Lava Machine is based on Univox Unidrive with some tweaks and addons. Two onboard trimpots to tune in bias and the input signal, The gain control affect the negative feedback between the output buffer and input transistor and it has a treble cut tone control. According to Tobias it does boost, overdrive and fuzztone really well by using your guitar volume control.

 

 

Fjord Fuzz Berserk V1

 Another interesting Fjord Fuzz circuit traced by evilarsen. An old school silicon fuzz with a switch that toggles between Fuzz Face/Tonebender Mk. II modes. Also a thickness pot that is a input cap blend control. It may be worth having the internal bias trimmer as an external control...
