Ooops, this one originates from a big muff layout with a switch.... No there is no toggle switch involved in this circuit, just ignore it...my bad, sorry for causing confusion.:-S Layout is updated.
Not sure since I haven't seen guts of the latest version with the gain switch. But I did a gain mod in russian big muff clone once by bypassing the 390ohm emitter resisotrs for Q2 and Q3. If you want to try it out you can solder one wire to pad D7 and the other end to lug 1 on a DPDT on/on switch. Run another wire from pad D13 to lug 5. Connect lug 1 and 4 to ground.
I gave it a try. didnt seem to do a whole lot so I witll box it up without thw switch. No biggie. This pedal is great for bass. Nice bottom end. Thanks
if you want to make this one really fun put the 4001s on a switch and switch between led and 4001s. im pretty sure this is all they did in the newer version. I used water clear red. WOW. Full on mayhem. Good times.
