Spaceman Effects WOW Signal Fuzz

  1. Built this today, its a good pedal. Kind of a tremolo fuzz but some settings are really cool sounding. Used an LDR / LED combo and silicon transistors with an hfe of around 390.

    1. Just double check everything, especially the pinout of your transistors.

  4. I got this working after figuring out it's a 4M7 resistor, not a 4K7, and I also had Gain 1 to Volume instad of Tone. Depth seems like an additional tone pot, and Speed doesn't seem to do anything at all. I've set the trim pot a million times and fooled around with it for a while now so I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to work or not, but it does have some cool fuzz sounds. I'm just not sure about any modulation. My germanium transistor is 50 Hfe with 50ua, and silicon are matching 370 Hfe 2n5088 and 2n5087.

    1. Finally got it working, I somehow missed the link on between the 470uf and 100nf capacitors. For what it's worth, you could potentially put a switch in there to cut the connection and flip from modulation to just fuzz it seems. Another note, flipping around Q4 makes for a much less subtle modulation, like a wow. This thing is pretty awesome!!
