 Schematic is avaiable HERE.

There is two layouts for this one. One for an audio transformer and one for a fasel inductor.

  1. So cool! I am interested in a Fasel version or even a version where the transformer is mounted offboard (like dual lock the top of the transformer to a side wall). Just so it is even easier to fit into a BB with top mounted jacks

  2. Thank you so much! I didn't realize the inductor footprint would be similar to the transformer. I think I will take your excellent layout and try to take more items offboard, like duallocking the transformer or inductor to a side wall and maybe soldering the voice capacitors directly to the rotary switch with a small daughterboard to 5x1 daughterboard to connect to Treble 2.

I am sure Mr Castledine has tons of germanium transistors that are out of spec hence their use as diodes here. So I plan to simply use some germanium diodes. Seems like an easy replacement. Correct?

  3. You can tag the transformer version Anders, real nice overdrive

    1. Used OC42's, hfe around 60 for both. Gets nice a fuzzy with the distortion up. MRB is very subtle but treble and bass knobs are very useful.

    2. Do you have any snaps of your finished pedals? I'd be curious to see what your finished product looks like. I'm going to build the Supa-J when I have time. I trust your taste. As a life-long Beatle fan I'd be interested in this circuit too.

    3. Oh yeah, I built The Wizard last week. It's dope.

    4. I made The Wizard also, its way better than the Catalinbread Sabbra Cadabra in my opinion. Great distortion!!!

  4. Hi Anders, you can tag the Fasel version also. The MRB setting is much better with the inductor. Built it with a tremolo and reverb in the same enclosure.

    1. That's really cool Ian. I looks like it runs on plutonium.
