This was a small run of a custom pedals for Slomatics. It was essentially a dual pedal with a fuzz circuit and a modulation circuit. This layout is for the fuzz section only.
The modulation section remains unknown. There was two variants; a 4 stage optical phaser and a Parapedal with LFO. Still, you might get close enough using your favorite phaser/wah after this fuzz...
Hey all - I built this one as drawn today and it has the following issues: 1) the tone cuts the signal unless the pot is maxed. 2) The overall output is definitely fuzz, but super low in volume. 3)Also, the mosfet interrupts the signal altogether. I tried different charge pumps and transistors, all with the same effect. Going to review later and see if I can debug
ReplyDeleteCorrect me if I am wrong, please - but this circuit looks to be the 3 knob Hybrid Cthulhu fuzz, just with a modified BMP tone+recovery stage, and a voltage inverter so you can use PNP transistors. Right? I kind of want to do that, now (minus the inverter, of course)
