Dwarcraft Devices She Fuzz

  1. So, circuit itself works great and sounds like a dream. Everything followed to the letter, except for using a 3pdt momentary for the magic switch instead of DPDT. guess what the only part of the pedal that doesn't work is? When I depress the momentary everything disappears. Signal completely lost. Ideas welcome, because it's super frustrating to be so close and have so many great sounds/noises, but not the magic option. Great site, it's been a welcome transition from others:-) thank you.

  2. Well, I made it, and it works like it should. You can verify it. Lovely velcro-ish texture to the fuzz, but without the gated character that usually comes with those type of fuzzes. Thanks for the layout.

  3. I can’t find DPST ON/ON switches that aren’t really expensive, is there a reason DPDT switches or something else wouldn’t work? Sorry if it’s dumb question I’m new to this

  4. Yeah, I am confused about the switches as well... I am also no expert, so forgive me for a possibly stupid question, but how can a DPST be on-on?

  5. I believe the DPST ON/ON can be substituted with an SPDT. What seems odd is that the Hex 3 would go to the DPDT Momentary "Magic". This would mean Momentary would do nothing when the Hex switch is switched to the hex 1 pin.

  6. As Joe pointed out the magic foot switch does nothing when the Hex switch is on. However it works well giving a stomp between full power and starved when Hex is off. Was going to make the shiva years ago and didn’t realise this is an updated version with a name change . Cool stuff

  7. Just a detail, but I think Spell and Shape are wired in reverse to the original. I used the lowest gain transistors I could find. For what it's worth, I preferred a low gain 2N3904 to the 2N2222A. I got more dependable weirdness from that type overall in that position. Simple little circuit but I like these messy octave circuits Aen built. Thanks. Oh, and I might suggest using a latching switch for the Magic switch and eliminating the Hex control. They do the same thing essentially and I don't think that momentary oscillation is all that interesting personally.
