  1. Hey all! Maybe I'm overlooking something but I think there might be something wrong with this schematic, got my doubts about the polarity placement on the board. Just can't get this one to work.
Triple checked everything.. Bypass signal is coming through but when the circuit is engaged there is no signal at all.

    1. I don't know man. It matches the schematic I have on hand. There is another schematic online but the only difference ia that the output cap is tied direct into collector of Q2 and not at the 5,6k/100ohm junction.
Which transistors are you using? Bear in mind if you are using metal can 2n2222's, yhey needs to be flipped 180 degrees.

    2. I have the 2222a's so it should be okay :S http://guitar-fx-layouts.42897.x6.nabble.com/CreepyFingers-Fuzzbud-td10232.html this schematic has an additional 10pF and there is no diode.

So frustrating it should be an easy build right ^^ Thx for taking a look anyways!

    3. Do you have plastic (PN) 2222s or metal (2N) 2222s? As I wrote, the pinout fiffers between them....
The diode is only for reverse voltage protection and has no impact on the sound except for a small voltage drop around 0,2mV. That 10pF cap is not fitted in original units as far I can see. The circuit will work with our without it since it is a very small raidio interefernce cap....

No worriea man, hopefully you get it sorted....

    4. Allright! I have the plastic 2222's I've tried flipping them but no luck :S Guess I'll rebuild it tonight, need... too.. make... it work.. haha. Great that I found your layouts been using tagboardeffects for a while but the community is not really active anymore.

    5. BTW. if you next attempt works but you find overall volume a bit low you can tweak the output cap a bit (100nF cap at the top left). Keep the leg connecting to volume three but move the top leg to the same row a collector of Q2.(Pad E2). Bias stays the same for Q2 but overall volume is much louder with this mod.

    6. My second build also failed... exact same problem :S Used all new components... Made 50+ pedals this is the first build that doesn't even give any signal at all :S

    7. Yhats wierd. Not a beep?
This layout is verified so you have a mistake somewhere. Is all cuts clean and there is no no solder bridges? Are all polarized components oriented in the correct direction?
Pictures of both side of the board could be helpful if you need a fresh set of eyes...

    8. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1irZ0erCo2oYvojgKewUnBnWk_2UPEm9J?usp=sharing here are the pictures. I pulled out all the wiring but you can still see where the wires went... thx for taking a look

    9. Both boards looks fine as far as I can see. Very odd, this. Do you have an audio probe so you can identify where the signal stops in circuit?

    10. Hey Fuzzhead, thx for checking. I'm pretty sure it's because of the components I've used. It's all cheap AliExpress stuff...thinking I could cut some costs. I'll try it again with some decent components.

    11. Build it again with some decent components, working great! Srry for questioning the layout ;) #lessonlearned

  4. Just put this together with some high gain bc108 transistors. It's beautiful sounding!

    Thank you!!!!!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. I know this is a few years old, but just built this one, and it rips. Thanks for the great layout!

    1. What transistors did you settle on, Boris?
