Built, but having some issues. Signal is super sputtery. Gates really fast. Seems to only hold for the attack of the note then sputters out. Also noticed that the signal mutes when PWM is fully clockwise. Gonna doublecheck my build tomorrow. Don't see any errors on the layout. Curious to see if anyone else has better luck.
hi! i had some issues too, lots of thicking and some volume loss. rate knob seems to be in wrong direction (i mean, counterclockwise increases thicking)
Here is the schematic I used. Can't spot anything wrong though...:-/ https://mlt3wgih0zgh.i.optimole.com/eLIzZF8-vX2xxx73/w:auto/h:auto/q:mauto/http://www.super-freq.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/PWM-Schematic.png
Well, I immediately noticed that the input should go in the pin 3 of the LM386, and the 2 and 4 pin should go to the ground. I didn't look for other mistake.
I think your layout is solid. I dunno if maybe my 40106s aren't quite up to spec or maybe it's an issue with the 396. I have a bunch of variants with different properties, and swapping them out made a pretty big difference in some cases. Thinking about playing around with this one on a breadboard. The demo on Escobedo's website is so killer. I really want to get this one working!
Sorry to interject on a different subject, but could I request a layout for the 1776 add-on modulation board? Really useful for adding to non-modulated delays.
I figured it was just a matter of time before I wanted one of these, too, so I went ahead and made one lol. haven't had a chance to built it yet, but I just gave it another look and didn't spot an errors. hope it helps!
Good evening to you all. Been using this site for a while learning how to solder but this is the first time I've commented. I've got this thing working, at least it makes an interesting varied row. I drew up a diagram so I could breadboard it, more learning, then put it together. Nada. Pulled it appart leaving ICs in the board in the sun, for days, and did other stuff. Got back to it, noticed an obvious mistake in my drawing, built it and bingo! It vo Erks! Even the switch does something. Very nice with a crossed up delay and flanger but also good by itself. Not sure what it's supposed to sound like but this is good for me. Best see if it will vero, not today though.
This layout works fine. The 40106 chip does change the character a lot depending on what you have I found, and I think the Depth pot would benefit from an audio or reverse taper depending on how you like it. I built a different layout years ago that only had 3 knobs but it sounds mostly the same.
I was just looking at this the other day! (I was thinking "I can't ask Anders for another) request!"

Doh! I really need to do the surgery on the other eye.
DeleteThanks Elijah!
Layout is updated.

Just remembered..!
DeleteI omitted the feedback LED on that layout, so here's an updated one with the feedback LED included:

This looks great. Could I request the sky ripper. I can send the schematic of you need it
