A super rare tonebender by DAM. Input stage is pretty much a Buzzaround preamp stage while the fuzz stage (Q3) is a 3 knob tonebender stage. The tonestack is slightly tweaked to be more focused on the lower mids.
Beautiful variation on a theme! I tried It with 2 OC45 for Q1/2 (50/74 hfe and very low leakage) and an OC75 in Q3 (120 hfe and +200 leakage) and sounds like a wrecking ball! Not a wide range in the tone control, but useful all along the sweep!
I added a variable input cap control and it works like a charm!
Hi!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you read my mind, I was just searching for one of this variations.
I think the input cap is 100nf not 100pf!!
Gotcha! Input cap fixed.
DeleteI hate to sound ignorant but I have yet to make a positive ground circuit like this before. Is the led and grounds on the jacks wired the same
ReplyDeleteEverything gets flipped. Negative becomes positive. Including the LED. It can get a little confusing.
ReplyDeleteBest thing to do is print, cross out ground and change it to 9v then cross out 9v and change it to ground. Job done - nothing to think about
