  1. Another hour lunch break well spent!!

This one sounds pretty mean and gritty to my ears. As there wasn't any info on the clipping diodes I had a play around and got quite a nice tone out of some BAT48 diodes.

Speaking of tone, unlike the tone pot on the Hagerman fuzz circuit, this one has an almost undetectable sweep. You hear a bit more grunt at the low end and a slight sparkle at the top end. Could be a wiring issue or a dodgy B100k, will look into it.

But yeah, tone wise, this one is pretty good, a nice textured snarl at high level and clears up when you dial back the guitar volume.

This one is gonna get boxed too!!

I'm gutted now, I think I've built all the Hagerman circuits here. What am I gonna build next???

But seriously, thanks Fuzzhead, awesome layouts as usual.

Now to go back to trying to get that mid-fi pitch pirate to work....

    1. Excellent!
I'll tag it as soon as I can.
I forgot to write the info on the diodes, it should be 1N4148.

There is a few Hagerman stuff left in the backlog...you might want to have access to LM3900, LM13700 and PT2399 ICs for these, ;-)

  2. Dang man! I'm gonna have to build some of these Hagerman layouts when I have a chance. Is the hfe a little higher on the 2N3906? I have a bunch of mojo globe transistors right around the same gain as 2N3904s but not sure about 2N3906s. I'd assume I have a BJT somewhere in my stash that's similar. Anywho, thanks fuzzhead, you're awesome!
