I likes it!! It's not a wild and crazy distortion, more of a good overdrive turned up high kinda sound.
The transistor clipping sounds pretty good with a nice smooth tone. I may have a play around with the transistor combos, but the stock pedal is pretty groovy.
Fired first time too, this one is gonna get boxed, possibly with the Hagerman Octave up and a sneaky toggle on/off switch.
Since Q2 & Q3 are a differential pair, I wonder if there is any advantage to matching them? Matching hFE on a DMM or transistor tester is probably good enough, but I'd use some insulated pliers or tweezers when handling them as the temperature will impact the consistency of your readings.
