Mode and XLF switches was internal DIP switches in original units but is moved to the outside per Aion Anomaly Vintage Distortion project. Schematic and circuit info is avaiable HERE.
Built this one today and it sounds good. I had oscillation and low gain but knifing the cracks [seems to have] cured that. I omitted the XLF switch and 100nf associated with it entirely. The mode switch seems to do what it does in demos, which I think is shave a tiny bit of top end off.
Hi Anders, you can tag this one. Sounds just like the demo's, I don't get what the switches are supposed to do as they don't seem to make any difference to the tone (they don't appear to do anything in the demo's too). Squeals with drive on full but three quarters is more than enough gain.
This one really is a bit special! I do however find the toggles a bit too subtle. Could I increase the 100nf to xlf 3 in order to get a bit more low end?
