Zencafe's Microtubes 2K

At first I thought this was an original Darkglass design but couldn't find any info on it except for the schematic. But it turns out it is a DIY designed project by zencafe at DIYSB. Schematic and info in this thread,

Looks like a fun and quite simple project which looks like a hotrodded Red Llama/Tube Sound Fuzz with some extra tonal options

    1. On top of my head, I don't know but there is a trace thread at DIYSB. I'll try to find a link to it and post it here.

  2. This thing is amazing! And verified. Needed a buffer in front when engaging napalm though.

    1. Why it needs a buffer when engaging napalm? What's the problem?
Looking at the schematic I see that switch bypass a 1M resistor (to get more distortion, I guess?)
The circuit has a booster in front, already. What's the point to have a buffer in front?
