Put this together as I'm always trying to find small boosts to combine with other pedals. I get sound but I'm not a fan of it past 3 o'clock, before that it doesn't do too much, a little volume increase. Maybe I have it wired incorrectly but I pulled out D1 and put in some sockets to try different diodes. Nothing changes in the sound even if I leave the socket's empty.
Not seeing any screwy connections on the bottom with soldering. Maybe it just doesn't pair well with my amp.

I guess you could try a linear taper pot for a smoother rotation of the pot.
DeleteThe zener diode don't have any impact of the sound, it is for protection ofor the MOSFET since these can be sensitive for current spikes.
