  1. Aaaaa my thanks man.
Sp i have built this version (seems to line up with the tagboard forums version).
Theres a definate issue when the switch is engaged, goes full on it goes batsh!t crazy. I have built the pedalpcb versions and i know it dosent sound right. ;)
Thank you again for the layouts and website - you are doing an amazing job and i just want to let you know its very much appreciated.

    1. Thanks for the kind f words. I'll triple check the layout again, especially the switch connections but it seems that a few people already built this without issues. The only difference compared to V1 schematic is the value of the Sizzle pot.

  2. No worries man.
So. Built 2, both sound exactly the same. Od is great with the switch it goes full blown oscollation/feedback etc. A buffer in front sorts it out but i have had the original pedapcb circuit so i know something is up.

    1. This is really odd, layout matches the schematic...this went up pretty high on my list to build and solve the issues with the switch.

    2. And I guess I need to recheck the schematic again with fresh eyes, might miss something obvious.

    3. I built this one and also had oscillation with switch, but added small pre-buffer circuit to it and it fixed oscillation. I also built the pedalPCB version and the buffer+this version sounds much better than the pedalPCB version. Thanks!

  3. I tried looking and tracing over the layout you wrote with the schematic. I couldnt see anything although i wouldnt say my skills are anything but amatuer.
If you cant see a problem it might lie with the schematic. Could be wrong.

  4. A small heads up. Since this circuit had some noise issues I decided to redo the layout from scratch. Just fired it up and it is a really crunchy distortion. No oscillation even with everything dimed. So it is all good now....now where is my hairspray can...?

  9. In this pedal I eliminated 80% of the high gain noise by grounding the back of the potentiometers, spst and 3pdt to the input negative, so it was silent even in the high gain option.
