Got courage and throw myself on the thing. Spot on layout, awesome sound. Used stock resistors, and the transistors as follows: - AC132 for the germanium. - 2N5457 as stock; - 2N5485 as substitute for 2n5484; - J112 as substitute for J102; - BS 170 as stock; - 2N7000 as substitute for MPF201 (tried a bunch of jfets - 2N5458, 2SK117, 2SK30 and BF245A, all worked nice, but ended with the mosfet, as MPF201 is a mosfet- depletion. So while I don't get one, it'll stay with the 2N7000. From the jfets, the one I like most is he BF245; people who want more gain better bet on the 2sk117).
So, thanks another million, mate! Very happy with the conquest!
Yes, everything else looks correct. You can meassure the transistor voltages and compare them to the listed voltages in the schematic. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MVhrW5txfOhU7fmQl5ay7kUw8lpkEj9u/view
Hi! Thinking of giving this a go. It's listed as verified but I don't see any comments. Did you build it yourself?
ReplyDeleteI didn't verify this one but brazdj at Tagboard Fx forum did.
DeleteAlso verified now by me. :O)

Ah, forget to point: worked perfect with L78L05.
ReplyDeleteOnly one question concerning this layout: On the upper right side, is the numbering of "Switch B 4/6" correct? Shouldn't it be "Switch B 3/6"?
ReplyDeleteAnyone?
ReplyDeleteI'll take a look win a couple of days when I'm off from work.
DeleteThanks, that would be great. :-)
DeleteYou were right! Switch connection moved from lug 4 to lug 3.
DeleteIs everthing else alright? I can't figure out, why this one isn't working for me.
