It really is. You can get that heavy MKI fuzz without much trouble.
The original project also included an 82nf cap as a mod instead of the 4.7uf. It's still fuzzy, but tightens the sound into more of a distortion sound. I liked both so I put them on a switch.
Holy crap, this thing is amazing. Built with J112 and two AC187 (hfe 100 & 160). Sounds really awesome!!!
