Verified! As always a very good OD from Mr. Björn Juhl. And the modified tonestack makes it quite versitale and makes it stand out in the green ocean of tubescreamers. I used 2SK117 for the FET and a TLE2072 for the op amp.
Built it, works, sounds cool. But I just couldn´t get along with the green led´s as clippers. It was way too gated and fuzzy in high gain-settings. Maybe because I used energy-saving-led´s? But I like it a lot with two 1N4001s! The two tone-pots are very useful in my opinion. Nice and unusual TS-variant.
Yes, a pretty cool TS variant. Thanks for the recommended sub for the 1N4001s, I need to try it out, not too happy about the higher gein settings iether.
I haven't built this, so I am not saying this with 100% certainty - but those lugs can remain unconnected. These pots just act as variable resistors, and so only two lugs need to be connected in order to increase the resistance as you turn the pot clockwise.

DeletePlease let me know where to connect the treble and mid pot lug 1.

DeleteJust built this, sounds great! However, the Treble does not seem to do much. Any ideas?
