    1. I bought two batches from different suppliers, but I didn’t hear a negligible difference between 1n914/1n4148 type diodes. So, it is what it is?

  2. Verified! Sounds great. Since I couldn’t find any 2D503B diodes, I used 1N4148 instead.

  3. Hello! Verified here too! I found the 2d503 diodes and IC and also used a silver mica for the 100pf as per the original. Sounds really nice!! Thank you!!

  4. Hello, how are you? I'm not sure if this layout is correct and working...

    Can you tell me?
    Thanks

    1. Why do you ask that in this topic ?
Thank you for respecting the use of the forum, so that we do not get lost in it.
And as BrianQ. said, it is labeled VERIFIED. Someone answered to your question in the right topic, so why do you insist Andy ?

  5. hi,

    in row N:
the 91R is after the 100uF cap... (not before)
    (which makes the power-filter defunct)

  6. That’s how it is in the schematic?

  7. Hey Fuzzhead. I couldn't find any other way to get a message to you. I hope you see this. I've built your 1969 V1 Big Muff Pie (sic) and have a small hiccup. You've designed it to work with a SPST, but I need to use a 3PDT, typical 9 pin pedal footswitch. Can you point me to a source for wiring that layout using a modern footswitch? Thanks!

    1. The SPST switch is for a mid boost in the tone stack; it has nothing to do with the footswitch. The output of the circuit is a wire that runs from lug 2 of the Volume pot to the footswitch. This is a great primer on how to connect all the offboard wiring for a pedal:

    2. Okay, that makes it clear. I've actually done a ton of these, but have ecxlusively done those layouts found on |V|ark's page (TBE as linked above) so this one was slightly foreign to me. I'd recently seen a number of BMP that were using older style footswitches, before the nine pin 3PDT were readily availble. As well, I'm used to seeing the wiring for a switch for that purpose on the same page, which added to my confusion. If that's the convention used here, then it's not a problem. Thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it.
