Electronic Audio Experiments Beholder

Another request. Here is something quite different; sort of a distressed sounding reverb/fuzz/noisebox. Schematic is avaiable HERE.

  3. Anders, my man. Tag it. It sounds GLORIOUS. I will be boxing it up soon and will post a demo running my drum brute through it. This is like the reverberation machine except meaner!!! Nice work on this one. I bought a PCB from EAE and want to build for comparison - but my build of your layout sounds like all the demos I watched!

  4. congrats on the site! love the choice of circuits.
this reverb is beautiful! worked first time. only issue i had is that drone switch seems to turn drone off instead of on, which makes no sense and gets rather noisy (i changed trim for pot but it doesn't matter...). could there be an explanation?

    1. It sounds like the momentary SPST footswitch is the "normally closed" type (pressing disconnects the 2 lugs), where this build calls for "normally open" (pressing connects the 2 lugs). You can test this with a multimeter.

Your best bet is to buy the correct footswitch. Look for one described as "SPST Momentary NO" ("NO" = normally open, "NC" = normally closed).

  5. Currently building and I've got 37 cuts & 19 links, are there any cuts hidden under non-transparent components I'm missing?

  6. hi there, digging this one up from a while ago, but I wonder if anybody could tell me if the number of links/cuts is correct? I'm counting 37 cuts and not getting a signal out apart from reverb-feedback after building and plugging in. any help would be really appreciated! love the site and all of your hard work.
