How would you go about building this without the tone mod. Leave it out? Just want 4 pots like the original. Vol, texture ,distortion and Z.
Yes, you can leave out the Tone control. Also leave out the 620 ohm resistor.But you need to solder a 1,8k resistor between A1 and N1 pads.https://www.freestompboxes.org/download/file.php?id=7665&mode=view
Now verified. Did some mods though. Ditched the "Z" control altogether since it didn't do anything for me. For the tone control I tried both 2k and 5k, settled on a 5kC pot. The sweep isn't perfect but good enough.
