  1. Layout looks ok, but ferrite bead?? I've seen stripboards of this before and they've never bothered with it. Where would you find ferrite bead that would fit on stripboard?

  2. I use the ones from Tayda.

You can replace the ferrite beads with a a jumper or a small value resistor without any harm.

    1. Ahh fair enoughs. Seen nothing like that in the UK other than the ones you clip over power lines. I've contemplated making this pedal in the past and funnily enough I have a spare OC71 at the moment! I'll see how my free time is.

  3. Built and working, though not exactly like the demos I watched. I've seen other people saying it doesn't sound exactly like they expected based on video reviews, too. fwiw, I used an AC128/ASY37S for Q1 as it's the only PNP germ I have at the moment. maybe that accounts for the difference? either way, I think it's safe to tag the layout.

    1. That's what's put me off a build in the past. I think the consensus has been the videos aren't truly representate of the actual pedal, and I think it acts very differently with lower hfe of I recall.

Did you use ferrite or not?

    2. I did. I've messed around with similar implementations in the past, and I'm not really convinced they make that big of a difference overall. could just be that I'm out of my depth here tho 😬

  4. what is the purpose of the cuts if we are going to bridge the strips with a ferrite bead (which according to other comment here can be replaced with a small wire?)
