Paul Cochrane Timmy V2

This one has been requested for some time but since there was no confirmed schematic avaiable I didn't want to pull the trigger. But Aion Fx just uploaded a schematic with their Termina project. It also includes a trimpot which affect the bass response and clipping. Schematic and more info is avaiable HERE

  1. Thanks for this layout. I built v3 and it is all I have been playing for a couple of weeks. Will have to throw this one together to compare.

    Thanks

  4. Another evening of troubleshooting, checking the layout, checking the schematic, knifing the tracks, reflowing all the solderjoints... I've build numerous of pedals but this one is going to be tossed out of the window :)

  5. I had a crack at this one tonight and although I can say it works, it did not sound very good. gated and not natural sounding gain.

Please don't accept this is the final word because most Op-amp overdrives I build don't seem to go very well!

Thank goodness for the dinosaural tube bender!

  6. I tried version of the Timmy recently. Why do so many people have a hard-on for this pedal. I was pretty underwhelmed, "if that's a word".

  7. I'm giving this one a go and am curious about the clipping switching. I'd like to just PCB mount a switch and there is plenty of room. The catch is that I'm unsure if the pins you have listed on this layout correspond to any SPDT mini switches I've seen. It looks like pin 2 is COM on your layout but every PCB mounted SPDT on-off-on I can find has pin 1 as COM. Do you have any insigh on how I could make that work?
