With 2N5457 that I have for Q1 and Q2 it sounded gated (I had 7.5V on drains), so I used 2 x J113 with Vgs around -1.25 V and Idss around 1.8 mA. Now the drains are around 4.8 V and it sounds fabulous!!! Anyway, better use sockets for Q1 and Q2 from the start.
Sorry, couldn't help it... build this one to. Fired first time. Works perfect. 2N5458 and BC550, just to be diferent. Cheers!

For Q5 and Q6 I used BC549C.
