Hi fuzzhead. I was pleasantly surprised by this build, from which complex enveloping sounds are obtained, with great balance between attack and dynamic (in both ways).Similar to old American amplifier with alnico speaker and set just above the saturation threshold. I used two potentiometers for the drive, removed the 1n capacitor on IC1 diodes side for more brightness and used on/on/on (SW MODE)to configure them in parallel in the central position,2SK117 and RC4558 and diodes 1n4148 alternating with 1n914 (SW CLIPPING).Thanks for the job you are doing and that you put at our disposal.Best regards.
Hi Fuzzhead. It works and is verified. The 1uf capacitor(G19-F19) should have the polarity reversed.
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteThanks for verifying and pointing out the orientation of the cap! Very curious about this one, is it a worthwhile build?

ReplyDeleteHey there! Do you recall where you found the schematic for this?
ReplyDeleteJust uploaded the schematic.:-)
DeleteHeck yeah thanks so much!
