Roland AF-100 Bee Baa Layout 2

Had an old unverified layout that were pretty much trash. Got a request to build a stock Bee Baa so I drew a new layout for it.

One useful mod is to raise the overall output for the fuzz section by jumper 47k and 68k resistors connecting to the Volume control on the on the right side of the board.

And per request, a smaller layout with the Boost section removed.

  1. Hey Anders, do you have a layout with the boost section removed?

  2. ...or your Pink Goat with just the stock scooped setting. I've been running my Pink Goat into a Way Huge Tone Leper I made and with the scooped setting into the TL set to a bass boost and I've achieved, hands down, the heaviest fuzz ever! After hundreds of fuzzes and boosts in different combinations I've finally found the ONE.

    1. Yeah, I can do a layout without the Boost switching and components. just give me a few days.
Glad you like the Pink Goat....gotta try it with the Tone Leaper then especially if it is the ONE:-)

And.....I tinkered a bit more with the Bee Baa circuit this weekend so it is a project called "Stoner Sheep" in the pipeline which is basically a Bee Baa with a bit more lows, Treble cut control and the tonestack from Grind Custom Fx Ultrastoner.

    2. Ooooh... have you built the Megalith? If so, have you done a shootout between it and your Tone Leper/Pink Goat setup?

Morpheus is always looking for The One. heheh

    3. I have and the Megalith is up there, but this combo just does it for me. I built the Tone Leper with the 6 way switch but I've whittled it down to the stock mids boost and a bass boost. It cuts or destroys with the Pink Goat out front. Sustains FOREVER. I'm gonna do it all again in one box and figure out the switching to toggle between mids/bass with a footswitch. My only issue with the Tone Leper is the output, it needs to be about 3/4 of the way up on the volume. Thanks for this Anders, I got some work to do.

    4. Wow! I'd love to hear a demo once you get it all squared away.

    1. And done!
Increase 2,2nF to 3,3nF for Pink Goat spec and there is also a spot just risght to Q3 if you want to add a "Highs Cut" cap across the collector and base.

  4. I also built a cut down BeeBaa. Killer... didn’t realise you had done something similar with the Pink Goat. Mine has less happening re tone controls and filters etc.

Hey have you seen this? Your layouts, Spanish page https://pedalmaniahandmade.blogspot.com

    1. Hmmm, haven't seen that one...I'm quite cool with it since it is all DIY.

  5. Hey dude, I built the one without boost and it's verified but with one issue. The sustain pot is not doing anything. I'll play around with it and report back.

  6. Nevermind. Just change the sustain 3 tag to sustain 2 on the bottom left and it's verified. Thanks man!

  7. I've built the complete circuit (with boost) and dang, that boost is loud! Already above unity volume with the knob all the way down. Looking forward to experimenting with all the other BeeBaa iterations on here. Thanks!
