Got some request for Overdrive and Distortion in the the new JHS 3 range. Was a bit hesistant at first since those are basically a Tubescreamer and a Rat with some simple mods....not "mostly own designed";-).
First up a Tubescreamer....sorry JHS 3 Series Overdrive.
I´m going to build this as soon as i finish college, i hear the demos and sounded good, can i request the chorus?
ReplyDeleteCaught a few things comparing to the JHS/PedalPCB schematic... I think there are supposed to be cuts at L4 and N9. Also, I think the 1k in column 14 should be a 10k that connects pins 6 & 7 on the IC. Still haven't gotten this one working right so I can't verify it, but I'm gonna play around with it some more tomorrow. Thanks for the layout!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't build this, but I found the same mistake brain said. The cut in L4 is there, but is barely visible. Solved that I can't see why it should'n work.
DeleteI just add, though that is not a problem, the resistors for the Vref should be 47k (10k in the layout, now, the one near Q1 and the one near the CLR) and the filter cap there should be 10uF, but the 47uF in the layout could be even better.
