God City Instruments Uno Fuzz

There is two layouts of this one, one stock with one control. Since it begs for modifications I added a second layout with four pots for more control:

  • 100K resistor at the output is replaced with a 100k volume control.
  • 33k/68k before Q2 is part of a fixed Big Muff style tonestack so they are replaced by a tone control.
  • The tonestack itself has a very deep and quite narrow mid scoop so a Shape pot is added to blend in some more mids via 27nF cap.

...and four knob layout.

  1. Has the quattro version been verified? I built it up today and everything works great accept the fuzz control which acts like a second vol control. Just checking to see if it was my build that needs to be rechecked.

    1. Yes, the "quattro" version is verified. As you says, the fuzz control is not very good one, by looking at the schematic it is wired in a quite an odd way. It both affect bias, gain and volume. For future build I woy hardwire it with a internal resistor.uld probabl

    2. Cool, I'll prob go the trimmer route if I get around to casing it. The adjustable tone stack you added has a very wide adjustable range!
