  1. I buit this layout sounds awesome it fired up first time I may have to play with feedback knob I can’t hear any deference in the mix at full clockwise or counterclockwise Any suggestions ?

    1. Hi there! Are you sure you have Mix 1 connected to row N? Mix control is basically a volume control for the delay signal and when rolled back the signal is dumped to ground hence I ask about it is connected to row N which is grounded.

Qualty pots rarely fails but you could try another one?

  2. Build it, been super quiet, i had a massive Volume drop With this build. Thats why i tried a second build With the layout from tagboardeffects that worked perfect.
I Haven t been able to find something wrong, maybe the layout has an issue. But it might be my fault aswell

    1. Hmm, you proboably has an error in your build. Mine works just fine with no volume drop....

  5. Built and added a momentary oscillation footswitch by connecting Mix 3 to hole A1. Still trying to figure out some more mods I can add.

    1. Cool! Can you explain more in detail how you did it?

    2. Sure, I figured out how to wire this by reading through these instructions(https://www.synthrotek.com/4224/) from Synthrotek and watching a few YouTube videos. I used a momentary SPST switch with one lead connected to Mix 3 and the other lead connected to hole A1(top left corner) on the vero layout above. What this does is max out the repeats knob whenever the SPST switch is engaged causing temporary oscillation. There's a couple other mods(Warp & Feedblast) listed on that page too but I haven't tried them. I've already added this(https://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2014/04/grind-customs-fx-deprofundis-delay.html) LFO to modulate the Time knob as well so I didn't want to get too carried away with mods since my enclosure is already going to be pretty crowded. I'm still interested in adding an FX loop if I can figure that out eventually, I might make another attempt at that soon based on what I've read here(https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=124171.0).

  6. Any ideas how I might go about adding an fx loop to the delays?

    1. There is chorus mod just adding a resistor, more info here: https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?PHPSESSID=m7066erqdlnh6jdd3dam0647m0&topic=128518.0

  7. When was the last time you travelled alone or has there actually been a time when you've travelled alone? For me, travelling alone was rides full of joyous experiences with a few bad days though, but overall a hugely positive experience to share. The initial few plans failed terribly but I still managed to pack my bags every time, tie my laces, pick the backpack and leave - just leave for my solo time. flugzeug radar

  9. is it possible to sub the 220k resistors for anything else?

  11. A question in case anybody knows... Why does this circuit have diodes on it? no other pt2399 delays seem to....

    1. It appears it's to add soft clipping before processing the echo digitally - so far as I can find, this is to emulate the sound of tape, and to soften regeneration when the circuit goes to self oscillation. I could be wrong though.

  12. I'm not sure. I think they were trying to emulate the sound of a bucket brigade style delay rather than a tape delay. As that style delay repeats it also degrades and gets slightly more distorted or lo-fi. I love how this delay oscillates slightly and sits behind your playing.

  13. Im short a 1uf cap at the output. Can i replace that with a lower or larger value?

    1. I would imagine a 1uf film would be fine, if you have one of those. If not, a lower value should make the effect brighter and a larger value darker. Usually how it an output cap works.
