Lot's of love for old soviet circuits here lately, find it very interesting since sometimes the designers started from scratch with no input from the oustide world resulting in some quite unique designs.
Here is a gnarly beast, Spektr -1 fuzz Wah. I omitted the LFO section connecting to Wah circuit since it needs a seaparate battery. It calls for quite a few PNP Germaniums which is still cheap and widely avaiable. Still not sure about the D814 zener diodes. Voltage rating varies between 7v and 11v depending on its suffix which isn't marked on the schematic.
I also moved two of the internal trimpots which controls volume output to panel mounted pots.
Currently unverified.

I've just bought an original one of these, and someone has messed with the switches - it works, but the momentary 2pdt fuzz switch has been replaced with a latching 1pdt, leaving three wires hanging, so not sure where they would go if I reinstate a latching 2pdt. The wires are all brown so trying to trace it from your layout is killing me. Could you share the schematic? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWow, very cool find, would love to source one myself!
DeleteI have now uploaded the schematic in this post and it also includes a factory PCB layout so hopefully you can fix your unit. Sadly I can't speak russian so I can't help you with that....:-S
That's great, thanks so much for a quick reply, it's only a bit i need to work out, so should be able to work it out :)
