Jus Oborn of Electric Wizard has been seen using one of these so I had to build it. Raunchy fuzz but suffers from lack of output and the Boost control isn't a favorite of mine. So here is two layouts, one stock and the second with volume mod and a more useful Boost control. I also added a small pF cap across base and collector of Q1 to smooth things out a bit.

Thanks for posting!!!! Built the mod after reading about Electric Wizard but didn't have a BC183C. I think I put a BC182L in there since I had some laying around. Sounds good if you dial it in just right but it's a little temperamental (it seems to squeal if the boost goes too loud). I'll keep playing with it and maybe I'll box it up...
