Fancy Lime's Minisågverket

Info and schematic HERE

  1. Verified! Finished this one up earlier today. Sounds like HM-2's darker cousin. Much more bass and sludgy. I tried swapping out the ICs with tl072 and ne5532, but noticed no change in sound. Keep these layout coming!

  2. Thanks a lot! I'll tag it as soon as I can.

  3. Tried with NE5532 and the CHUG is oscillating and not really working for me. I may try swapping the IC's but I think something may be off...

    Question(s):
    --- Is it Loud 2 (board) to Loud 2 (pot) to Output?
    --- Is that 1uf capacitor touching ground?
    --- Is Loud 3 (pot) supposed to go to ground?

    1. Hey there - just looked at the schematic that is linked above (the image hosting site takes a while to load but the diagram is there, eventually) and it looks like the "loud" pot is mislabeled here. "Loud 2" on the board should actually be loud 3. So the "loud" pot is really just the output volume control where lug 1 goes to ground, lug 3 connects to the output cap and lug 2 becomes the output. As far as everything else in the drawing goes, I believe it is a correct translation of the schematic but I may have missed something -you should go click on the link in the DIYSB post and see for yourself. Either way - the oscillation from the gain (chug) control will probably happen no matter what when you turn it up since this circuit is supposed to sound like a Skitsystem record.

    2. Thanks for the response, Chris!

      I had a feeling about Loud 3 but wasn't sure how this thing is supposed to sound (and it's the 1st build I've tried out using these NE5532's I had lying around). I'll adjust the Loud 3 wiring and take a look at the schematic to see if I messed up anything.
