I have this on the go but I have an idiot question if you don't mind. For the 10nf electrolytic, can i use one of those little box capacitors? I have a 103j100.
Looking at a different schematic, it should be a 10uf electrolytic, not a 10nf. There should be 2 x 10uf and 1 x 100uf electrolytic capacitors in total.
Yes, the 10nF was a typo. 10uF it is. The 100uF cap is a power filter cap. I always add it if the the schematic is missing it. It doesn't hurt to have one.:-)
Oh man! I'm having an unlucky streak😢 The board looks great😢 I'll pop something else in the box.. this is how the red wizard became the incredible legend of fuzz... and try this again down the line.

ReplyDeleteI looked at the schematic but I'm way out my depth! I can only see two symbols with a + sign and they're 10uf....I can't see the 100uf...🤦🏼♂️🤯
ReplyDeleteThere a non positive/negative 10uf in line with the 9v on the schematic...I should shut up...I'm definitely out my depth 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
ReplyDeleteThe 10nf would be a typing mistake I think. It’s 10uf. The 100uf is between 9v and ground and is a common addition to most circuits.
