Tyco Brahe Octavia

  1. Thanks so much for this one. It sounds great. On mine, I rearrangedthe diodes so instead of both going to vol #3, one of them uses a wire and a switch to turn the octave off, like I've seen on other Octavia clones.

I used a 42TU011 transformer and D9B diodes. Then I used 2n5087 & 2n4401 transistors. I've read mixed advice on whether you should use high or law gain on this, but what I did sounds good to me.

  2. Any chance someone has the rough collector voltage values for Q1, Q2, and Q3?
    I’m getting 8.5V at Q2 collector which seems odd…

    1. I don't have a schematic to draw from, but if you follow the jumpers for Q2 collector, it connects directly to V+. 8.5 is roughly what you would get after passing 9v through a polarity protection diode, so it seems to be reading exactly what it should.
