I guess it depends in which casing your transistor have. The layout reflects the old TO106 top hat casing that was used back in the day. https://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/transistor-2n3565/ There is modern remakes in a plastic TO92 case, usually you need to orient them 180 degrees.
That makes sense. I didn’t think about the old casings. I was using pn3565 I wouldn’t normally pay attention to the orientation, but I’ve been trying to use sockets less.
Building this now. The transistor graphics look upside down.
