Threw this together today. I think you can say that the layout is verified. Getting intermittent operation. But I think it's down to my tired collection of pots. I wasn't expecting too much, but I like this one. High gain side is nasty and harsh almost like a Fuzzrite and the lower gain side feels more like a less bass-heavy Fuzz Face (if the fuzz control actually worked). One of my favorite fuzzes is the Algal Bloom V1. Tagboardeffects mirosol's modified version being the best version.
Tried 1n34, 1n270 & soviet D9k for D1. Getting upper octave madness at full gain. This is basically a modded Hemmo Buzzbox with a gain & treble control?
That makes sense. It may seem funny but I tend to embrace ignorance here. Learning what something tends to be disappointing. When I first got into building I avoided all two transistor fuzz, as I thought I'd made enough FF's. But some of my favorite fuzz's are some of the crudest and simplest and most archaic.
