  1. Took a shot at making this -- it's almost working. It's making a horrible grounding sound -- but I can hear the effect behind it if I crank the volume. Sounds like something isn't quite connected in the right spot -- or it needs another cut somewhere -- I can't figure out what or where. Hope someone can help me out -- the demo of this thing sounded pretty dope -- and I'd love to help verify this.

  2. Just took a quick look but it looks like the 1M connected to pin 8 of the pt2399 needs to connect to the base of the 2n5089, not the 2n3904.

    1. Moved the bottom leg of the 1M from Q7 to Q3 -- nothing -- same grounding sound. Then by lucky accident touched the circuit input to the first leg of the Lag pot -- and it "works". That is to say it makes a fucking cool noise. Tried attaching the input to all the different leg 1's of each pot -- and had the best results with the Lag pot. Every pot does something to the noise -- although the lag now kills all sound when turned all the way counter clockwise (which is to be expected based on how I wired it). I'm not sure what this means -- or how this is how the circuit gods intended -- but it's bloody fucking cool sounding -- and I love it.

I tested it on a synth and a dub siren I have too -- and it's a fun and wild noise machine for sure

  3. Hello, I think the only thing you need to do is change the position of the 2n3904 for the 2N5089, that is, Q1 2N5089 and Q2 2N3904 without changing the position of R2 (1M to b of 2N5089). I think that would be enough. Regards.
Sorry if there is any mistake but I am translating with Google.

    1. The schematic is pretty hard to read. Or maybe my eyes just suck

    2. No worries JJJ! No problem with the translation! Ok -- I moved the 1M back to Q7 and swapped the 2N3409 and the 2N5089. Unfortunately -- it didn't do the trick and it still isn't working as intended -- however -- now attaching the input to leg 1 of the Lag pot doesn't do as much -- but if you attach it to leg 1 of the Detune pot -- it makes crazier noises than before.

    3. And ya absolutely Tom -- I looked at the schematic too -- and it's pretty hard to make out the way it's printed. It would probably help if I could read schematics (better) in the first place tho. It's not my strong suit.

  4. Apart from swapping Q1 and Q2, I can't see anything wrong with the layout against the schematic. Might have a crack myself, seems like a great effect

  7. Hello, the main diagram was used for the design on the page https://effectslayouts.blogspot.com/ it is verified, I made it on pcb a while ago and it works as expected... Check again the usual: wiring, jumpers between tracks, correct location of components, etc. The only difference I see is the location of the trans mentioned above, an audio probe always comes in handy, it makes it easier to find errors, it saved me from many, hehe, greetings and good luck with this

  8. Ah -- ok -- cool -- thanks y'all!
