Just built this, and ended up with a really nice sounding overdrive. Which is confusing, as that is not the desired result. I have been over it closely, and can't find a fault... does anyone know where the gain in the chip is controlled? That could help my troubleshooting...
Is it possible this isn't quite right? @Sizzorfite-did you build it based on this layout? I have a tough time with schematics more complicated than a FF, but there are some things that don't seem to match with the linked schem. That is coming from a fairly ignorant perspective though, so...

ReplyDeleteAre you using sockets, try swapping the IC out for another?
ReplyDeletei've build it three time, 2 using sockets, and i tried several Ic , all CD4007UBE, same result midboost/drive

DeleteTry to get the cd4007 from a different supplier, it might fix your problem?
