  1. Howdy. I've put this together, but no signal when engaged. I have bypassed signal. I have lugs 3 and 9 on the switch empty...

  3. Have you checked your transistor pinouts mate, if you used BC549s they are opposite pinout to 2N5089

    2. Been over it several times now and I can't spot any errors...:-/

    3. So strange! It feels like I should be connecting the ground from my Jack sockets to the on/off switch somewhere...

I'll be interested to see if anyone one else can get this up and running...

    4. Base of Q2 directly to ground seems like it would be wrong.. I haven't seen the schematic though

    5. Doh!
      Ground connection moved.

Sounds great. It appears that the rate LED doesn't pulsate all the time - it appears to only pulsate after the effect is engaged. Is that correct? So the rate LED can be used as the status LED?

      Thanks.

    4. And is this a buffered effect?

      Thanks

    5. Yes to the LED only coming on when you engage the pedal.
I'm afraid I don't know if it is buffered or not

  7. So here's a question that's hurting my brain....

The pots on these operate in reverse....
The depth control has all of its operation in the first 1 quarter turn (0 - 10 o' clock)
To even this out across the range of the pot, would I be wanting audio taper or reverse audio taper??

  8. If it's that drastic I would probably try a different value. Maybe a 50k or 25k pot would be better suited. And I guess you would use an audio pot to move the taper further clockwise. When in doubt just twist the unsoldered wire around your pot lugs in both ways to test it out before committing.

    1. I think I'll just have to test it. I've tried to work it out but I went crosseyed.

  9. Ok it's a simple fix! Put an audio pot on the depth and keep the wiring the same. Much more control and and a sensible taper.

    👍👍👍👍

  10. The offboard wiring is not standard on this one. Can someone post a picture of how they wired the 3pdt and all the ground wires?

    2. Hi Ian, would it be possible to get this image re-uploaded? that link gives me an error that says "Album empty". I'm hoping that seeing how you wired the 3PDT might help me to get mine working :)

  12. For some reason I couldn't get the rate led to work correctly so I just made it solid. When I was troubleshooting I noticed on your picture Ian that you were missing the 6.8k resistor under the diode. Seems like it still works as it should though.

    1. Now that's interesting!!!!

(This layout did get corrected at one point....this photo could be the first incarnation...but I'll be taking a look when I get home!)

    3. Well I've performed the surgery....gun to my head... I'd say it adds a small amount of gain to the circuit...but the difference is hard to spot. (Like my mistakes🤦🏼)

  13. This thing rules! Sounds great. Like most tremolos, I'm looking for more range on the speed. Does anyone have any ideas for making this thing alittle faster and bringing it into ringmod territory? Or slower for that matter?

  14. Have you built the shoot the moon? That's got an amazing range

  15. Hi guys! Does anyone can help with wiring this pedal to foot switch? I've just connected the cable as the mentioned position but it makes any sound. Any example image above are not working so 😕
