The bottom row of the DIP switch selects between two series input resistors. It is a 22k and a 1k resistor. I guess it will affect the gain and/or impedance...
The top row looks like it affects how the Filter control responds.
Hi - late to the party but I'm looking to build this soon. Is that a link under the dip switch? I can count the other 6, but the layout says 6 total so figured I'd check.
Hi there, thanks for your job, I have been checking the blog for a long time! I'll try to make this in vero but wanted to confirm if the position of the 22 ohm resistor touching the drain of Q2 does not alter anything in the circuit. In your layout the drain of Q2 touches the switch lug 2 as well as the gain pot lug 1, unlike in the schematic. I do not know about electricity to understand if there is any difference or not. I would also like to know what are those bigger white circles besides dip switch lugs 1 and 3 - those below the link.
What does each of the dip switches do? Just curious.

You can tag this. Everything works fine.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marcello! I'll tag it.

ReplyDeleteExcellent layout, as always. I highly recommend building this.

ReplyDeleteIt is, so that makes 7 links instead of 6?
ReplyDeleteLooks that way. I'll be building it in the next week so I'll post back with my findings.

Thank you for your time!!
Well spotted. You are correct, Gain and the switch connection was in the wrong spot.
DeleteIt is now corrected. The circuit will work in both spots though.
Thank you!
